Factory Tour at GBS & Chelsea Football Team sign Zero photo....

We get a lot of enquires for Factory Tours for owners clubs and sports car clubs all over the country, we offer a few Factory Tour dates throughout the year including weekends and evenings. We were recently pleased to welcome the Austin 7 Owners Club to the GBS factory for a  tour with Richard which took place on a Saturday morning. The morning generally starts with tea and biscuits in the GBS Show room then onto the GBS Workshop, Design & Development Room, Machine & Engineering, Clean Room, Kit Spares Store and then back into the showroom for more tea and biscuits, questions and often a test drive in one of our Zero demonstrators. This Zero was last seen on our stand at Stoneleigh Kit Car last month and was delivered back to the owner shortly after, whilst it was with us we had the opportunity for a photo shoot which you can see below.

We also had a gift for the owner who is a big Chelsea football fan, we had a photograph that we took of his Zero at Silverstone last year signed by the Chelsea Football Team. Keith had the opportunity to personally meet the football team in Germany before and after a game along with Yokohama who we would like to thank for making this happen. We presented the signed photo framed to the customer who was delighted.

This stunning Zero is powered by a 2.5 Duratec engine with ATR Throttle Bodies will be doing its first track day with us at Blyton Park on Sunday 23rd June. We look forward to sharing more news on how it performs and photographs form the day. The Track Day is now fully booked, but there is a reserve list please click here for more details.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Cars & Coffee event at the weekend…

The GBS Cars & Coffee events that we hold at the GBS Factory were created in 2016 and have since been a massive success & we have decided to continue to hold the events again and again throughout the year. On Saturday saw the second Cars & Coffee event of 2019 and we would like to say a big THANK YOU to you all for joining us, it was a shame about the rain but still a great turnout.

The GBS workshop, Kit Spares show room was very busy and the Kit Spares shop was also busy with enquires and orders. As usual the great selection of cakes attracted a lot of attention and certainly went down well along with the unlimited supply of tea and coffee. The other thing about our GBS Cars & Coffee event that we love, is that we are able to raise money for our 2 chosen charities which are the Cancer Research UK and The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, we all feel and hope you agree that The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a fantastic service and has helped & will continue to help many people, as well as the Cancer Research UK that is again a fantastic charity that makes a big difference to so many people and their families. We thank you all for your generous donations, so far from our GBS Events we are delighted to have raised £1,935.39.

If you were not able to join us on Saturday then don’t worry. We will be announcing the next GBS Cars & Coffee date very soon so make sure you get that date in your calendar once its announced.

The Next event on the GBS Calendar is our Track Day at Blyton Park that is happening on Sunday 23rd June. We will there with the Zero’s and its great to see several other Zero’s booked in to join us. The Track Day is now fully booked but there is a reserve list if you are still wanting to book on and join us! Click here for more details.

Mazda 6-speed gearbox, Atlas axle, AP Racing brakes, ATR coilovers etc.
They will be supplied as complete road going cars or in kit form, and can easily be converted to a rally car if required, we look forward to sharing more news on the red prototype Mk2 over the next few months with you all.

We also had GBS Customer Pete Davis drop his GBS Zero off a few weeks ago that we have been busy preparing for IVA and we are pleased to have presented it to IVA test earlier this week and it passed so we have now completed the registration process and just awaiting confirmation.
Click here for more details on the IVA Service that we offer and for Workshop Services click here.

We are also pleased to have the very first GBS Zero with us in the GBS workshop this week which has been having the New ATR Products Brake Upgrade fitted. GBS Customer Richard Smith owns the very first GBS Zero that was produced, and we are delighted to have it back in the factory for the popular new ATR Products brake upgrade. The Zero is fitted with a 2L pinto engine on bike carbs and has covered many thousand miles, we also have a collection of photographs of this original Zero when it was first produced over 10 years ago and it looked very different.

You may have seen Richard and his Zero at our events in the past and you will see him this Saturday at our GBS Cars and coffee event at the GBS Factory as he is collecting his Zero. The Mk2 Escort can also be seen this Saturday in our workshop, please visit our GBS Facebook page and event page for more details about our Cars and Coffee event that is happening at the GBS Factory this Saturday (8th June). We look forward to seeing you there.
