GBS enjoys a busy weekend at the National Kit & Sports Car Show.....

Last weekend (30th & 31st May), the GBS team had a fantastic and busy weekend exhibiting at the National Kit Car Show at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand over the weekend. It was great to meet so many new faces, catch up with existing customers, and talk to enthusiasts who are considering building their own Zero.

Located in the main exhibition hall, our stand featured a factory-built Ford Duratec-powered Zero, giving visitors the opportunity to get up close to one of our most popular build options. Also on display was our unique half-and-half Zero chassis, which allows you to compare the standard and GT wide-body chassis options side by side and find the best fit for you!

Alongside the Zero range, we also showcased a selection of our ATR products, all of which are designed and manufactured in house by our team. These products continue to prove popular with customers and are available online through our parts and accessories website, Kit Spares.

The weather was perfect throughout the weekend, helping to create a fantastic atmosphere around the showground. The outdoor areas were particularly busy, with a variety of exhibitors, car clubs, trade stands, and lots of interesting vehicles on display especially on the Saturday.

Events like Malvern are always a highlight of the year for the GBS team, providing a great opportunity to showcase the Zero, meet customers face to face, answer questions, and help future owners start planning their dream build.

The next event for the GBS team is our second Friday Night at the Factory event of the year, taking place on Friday 19th June at GBS. Following that, we will be hosting our next GBS Cars & Coffee event, proudly sponsored by Yokohama Tyres, on Saturday 18th July. Both events are open to all enthusiasts and provide a fantastic opportunity to enjoy great cars, meet fellow enthusiasts, and spend time with the GBS team.

For more details on upcoming events, please visit our events page. You can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see more photographs and videos from the Malvern show and keep up to date with everything happening at GBS and more behind the scenes.

GBS Cars & Coffee event sponsored by Yokohama Tyres is happening on Saturday 18th July....

Saturday 18th July

We are excited to share that the date for the next GBS Cars & Coffee event of 2026 has now been confirmed. Proudly sponsored by Yokohama Tyres, the event will take place on Saturday 18th July at GBS from 10am–2pm.

As many of you know, everyone at GBS has a real passion for cars, motorsport, and all things automotive, which is why our Cars & Coffee events have become such a big part of the GBS calendar. Each event continues to grow, attracting an amazing variety of sports cars, performance cars, classics, bikes, and of course plenty of GBS Zeros.

These events are a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts to get together, enjoy the atmosphere, meet like-minded people, and spend a few hours surrounded by incredible machinery. Whether you already own a Zero, are thinking about starting a build, or simply enjoy cars, everyone is welcome to join us.

After working closely with Yokohama Tyres for several years and proudly supplying their products through our parts shop and website, Kit Spares, we are delighted to once again have Yokohama supporting the event this year. On the day, a member of the Yokohama sales team will also be joining us, giving visitors the opportunity to chat tyres, performance, and motorsport.

GBS to Exhibit at PistonHeads Annual Service 2026....

We’re excited to announce that GBS has been invited to exhibit for the first time at this year’s PistonHeads Annual Service, taking place on Saturday 8th August at Bicester Motion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the GBS Zero to a wider audience, and we’re looking forward to being part of what has quickly become one of the UK’s must-attend automotive events. The GBS team will be on hand throughout the day with a selection of Zeros and our product range, so whether you’re an existing owner, a future builder, or simply a car enthusiast, we’d love you to come and see us.

Launched as part of PistonHeads’ 25th anniversary celebrations, the Annual Service has rapidly grown into a flagship event. The inaugural show welcomed over 5,000 enthusiasts, and by 2025 it had expanded into a complete sell-out with a record 7,000 attendees — highlighting just how popular and well-regarded it has become.

For one day only, the entire Bicester Motion site is transformed into a vibrant automotive showcase — a privilege reserved for only a select number of events. The live stage sits at the heart of the day, hosting exclusive interviews, podcast recordings, and award ceremonies, while across the venue visitors can explore an incredible mix of display cars, themed areas, manufacturers, specialists, and car clubs.

We’re proud to be part of this exciting event for the first time and can’t wait to meet fellow enthusiasts, share our passion for the Zero, and connect with the wider automotive community.

Be sure to keep an eye on our events page for more details — and make sure to come and say hello if you’re attending!

Strong Start to the Race Season for a GBS Zero in Malta.....

It’s always fantastic to see our Zeros being enjoyed both on the road and out on track — and even better when they’re delivering strong results.

We’re pleased to share a great result from Malta, where a GBS Zero secured 2nd place in class at the opening round of the Island Car Club Malta Hillclimb Championship in Baħrija. A brilliant way to kick off the season.

Driven by Herman Magro, the GBS Zero performed exactly as intended, showcasing the balance, capability, and performance that these cars are built to deliver.

This result reflects not only the work put in behind the scenes but also the focus and commitment to getting the very best out of the car. It’s great to see that effort translating into success at events.

We’re looking forward to following this Zero throughout the year as it continues to compete in the championship and take on more events.
Fancy seeing how the Zero perform on the track? Then why not join us on Saturday 25th April for the first GBS Track Day of the year at Blyton Park, more details can be found on our event page.

Exciting and busy weekend at this years Race Retro Show....

This past weekend (20th-22nd February) some of the GBS Team headed to Stoneleigh Park for the Race Retro Show, one of our favourite events of the year! It was a fantastic show, and we pulled a brand-new Zero race build straight out of production to put on display, one that we have done several videos on during its build.
The Duratec-powered GBS Zero race car, attracted a lot of attention over the three days, alongside the Zero race car, we also displayed some of our most popular ATR Products, including the ATR Sump, ATR Shock Absorber, ATR Throttle Bodies and the Ford 2.5 Duratec Engine set up which are all available from our parts shop Kit Spares.
A special highlight for us from the event was welcoming the owner of this stunning Zero race build, who got to see his car on its wheels and in the spotlight for the very first time. A proud moment and great to share.
The car is now back in the build bay as we complete the final stages, ready to be enjoyed on both road and track later this year.

We’ve had a fantastic year seeing the Zeros out on track....

We’ve had a fantastic year seeing the Zeros out on track, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than watching customers get the most out of their cars in a true motorsport environment. From first shakedown laps to full race weekends, it’s always rewarding to see Zeros being driven as they were intended for both the road and track.

Recently, this stunning Zero Race Car enjoyed its very first outing on track at Blyton Park, taking part in a Javelin Track days event. It was the perfect opportunity for the owners to test the setup, and build confidence ahead of what promises to be an exciting racing season next year. First track days are always special and exciting.

We love following our customers’ journeys, from the initial build stage right through to track and road use. Seeing that progression—from garage to grid—is what makes projects like these so rewarding for everyone involved.

If you’re thinking about taking your Zero on track for the first time, or even planning to compete next season, we are here to help. From preparation and setup to safety checks and race-ready advice, we can support you every step of the way to ensure your car is ready to perform.

Fantastic & busy weekend at the Classic Motor Show with the Zeros…

A Fantastic Weekend at the Classic Motor Show!

We had a busy and successful weekend exhibiting at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC Birmingham. A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand across the three days. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with existing customers and meet so many new faces. This event is one we look forward to every year, and this year’s show—especially the Friday—was so busy and full of great conversations and energy.

On display we had our Zero powered by the Ford Duratec engine, a Zero GT, and our popular “Half & Half” Zero chassis, which attracted attention all weekend. The chassis allows visitors to compare the standard and GT sizes side-by-side, making it easier to see which model suits their driving position and style. Alongside these, we also showcased a wide selection of Kit Spares and ATR Performance Products.

If you’re interested in parts or accessories, remember our Kit Spares shop is open Monday to Friday, and collections will also be available during our Christmas Cars & Coffee event next month.

Next GBS Cars & Coffee Date Confirmed – Saturday 11th October.

We’re delighted to confirm the date for our next GBS Cars & Coffee event, which will be taking place a little later than usual this year on Saturday 11th October. Traditionally, we host this popular gathering in September, but with an incredibly busy few months behind us – packed with events, customer builds, and other behind the scenes weekend commitments – we’ve decided to push it back slightly.

This will be the perfect opportunity to catch up with fellow enthusiasts, enjoy a morning surrounded by an amazing variety of sports cars, and share stories over a cup of coffee. GBS Drive Out to Futura Sports Cars Open Day....

We had a fantastic day for our August GBS Drive Out, this time heading over to Futura Sports Cars for their Open Day. It was a brilliant opportunity to enjoy plenty of driving, great company, and to celebrate our new partnership with Futura Sports Cars as our Northern Dealer Specialist.

The day began with an early start from GBS, where a group of Zeros and other sports cars gathered before making the drive up to Yorkshire through some lovely roads. One of the highlights of the journey was seeing the convoy of cars driving right through the centre of York — a sight that certainly turned a few heads!

On arrival at Futura Sports Cars, it was fantastic to see their new setup, meet the team, and share in the excitement of their Open Day. Afterwards, we continued the day with lunch and drinks at the near by Aldwark Manor, where everyone could catch up and enjoy the sunshine before heading home their separate ways.

The weather was perfect throughout the day, and thankfully we managed to avoid the rain, making it an even more enjoyable drive. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — it was a great turnout, and events like this wouldn’t be the same without you. We’ll be announcing details of the next GBS Drive Out very soon, and we hope to see you there for another fun day with the sports cars. More photographs and videos will can be seen on our social media later this week.

Fantastic time at the Silverstone Festival with the Zeros.....

We had a truly fantastic weekend at the Silverstone Festival – three days filled with exciting motorsport, incredible cars, uplifting live music, and all-round fun.

Our stand was busy from start to finish, with the GBS Zero attracting a lot of attention throughout the weekend. Visitors were able to get up close with a a striking factory built Zero Demonstrator, a customer’s beautifully finished Mazda Zero build and our ever-popular Half & Half Zero chassis, which proved to be a real hit once again. Many were pleasantly surprised at just how spacious our standard Zero really is once they tried it out for size!

The event also came with some big news. Last week it was announced that CarFest will be moving to Silverstone and will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2026. This means that the 2025 Festival was the last Silverstone Festival in its current format. While it truly marks the end of an era, we were delighted to be part of it — and we’re excited for the new event ahead and hope to be part of it.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand, asked questions, and shared in the passion for the Zero. We have lots more planned for the rest of the year. Next up is our GBS Drive Out, happening this Sunday 31st August — and there’s still time to register and join us! The next Cars & Coffee date will also be announced very soon!

Visit our event page to explore upcoming events, builds, and opportunities to experience the GBS Zero for yourself.

What a Fantastic Finale – GBS Friday Night at the Factory....

What a Fantastic Finale – GBS Friday Night at the Factory….
Wow – what a fantastic evening to round off our final GBS Friday Night at the Factory of the year last Friday (08/08/25)! We were thrilled to see such a brilliant turnout, with the car park overflowing with some truly stunning cars from our customers, friends, and fellow enthusiasts.

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the smell of freshly baked pizza filled the air thanks to the amazing team at Sherwood Fired Pizzas, who once again delivered mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas that were enjoyed by everyone. The drinks were chilled, the cakes went down a treat, and conversations flowed well into the evening.

Events like this really showcase the fantastic community we’re proud to be a part of – a place where everyone shares their passion for cars, good food, and great company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the season, making these Friday nights such a highlight in our calendar. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back for more Friday Night at Factory events in 2026! Keep checking our GBS Event page as more events will be confirmed and announced soon!
