Awesome Test Day at Donington Park with the Zeros - CSCC Magnificent Sevens Test Day....

We had an awesome day at Donington Park last week as our GBS Zero Race Car took to the track for the CSCC Magnificent Sevens Series official test day.

Behind the wheel was Will Orton, who put the car through its paces in what proved to be a hugely productive and successful outing. The conditions were kind to us, with dry weather throughout the day making it ideal for consistent running and focused testing.

The Zero performed exceptionally well, achieving some very competitive lap times and showing strong pace straight out of the box. The day wasn’t just about speed, though — it was an important opportunity to gather data and continue developing the car ahead of the season opener next month.

We worked through a detailed testing programme, including Damper adjustments and suspension setup refinement, Engine calibration tweaks and general setup changes to improve balance and drivability.

Our Zero race car is powered by a standard-spec Ford 2.5 Duratec engine fitted with ATR throttle bodies, delivering strong, reliable performance — perfect for competitive club racing.

The car is now back in the workshop for further refinements and final preparation ahead of the first race of the season. We’re excited to confirm that we’re expecting four or five more Zeros to be joining us on the grid later this month — it’s shaping up to be a fantastic start to the year.

On the test day we were also joined by another Zero owner, who will also be racing in the series. It’s great to see more Zero drivers stepping into competitive racing and building a strong presence within the Magnificent Sevens paddock.

It was also fantastic to welcome customers who came along to support us and see the Zeros in action on track. Events like these are a brilliant way to experience the cars doing what they’re built for — lightweight, responsive, and seriously capable on circuit.

If you’re interested in going racing, there’s still time to enter the CSCC Magnificent Sevens Series this season. It’s a competitive yet friendly championship and a perfect platform for Zero owners looking to take the next step into motorsport.

Alternatively, why not join us at our upcoming GBS Track Day at Blyton Park in April? It’s a great opportunity to get your Zero out on track, develop your driving skills, and enjoy the car in a safe, supportive environment. There are still places available!

We’re looking forward to continuing to work closely with Will as we push to get the very best out of our Zero Race Car this season — Exciting times ahead!
