The next GBS Cars & Coffee event is happening on Saturday 8th June ….

We are all very much looking forward to our next GBS Cars & Coffee event is happening in less that 2 weeks on Saturday 8th June at the GBS Factory.

This is an event that we have created and is a chance for you all to have a ride out in your sports cars / meeting point and enjoy a coffee (plus biscuits/ cake of course) and chat about your cars, the next Cars & Coffee will be starting from 10am all are welcome to join us in any car (modern or classic including bikes).

As many of you know everyone at GBS has a strong passion for cars and anything to do with motorsport and we love our Cars & Coffee events which are getting very popular. The last event that we held earlier this year in March was very successful and the best yet and saw the record number of cars with the car park overflowing by 10.15am, so hopefully our next event on Saturday 8th June will be just as good if not better!

As usual the GBS and Kit Spares Showroom will be open, as well as the Kit Spares shop, and not forgetting there is free cake/ biscuits & unlimited tea & coffee! We hope you can join us and help us make it the best GBS Cars & Coffee event yet & help us raise even more money for two great charities…. We will be collecting for the Notts & Lincs Air Ambulance & Cancer Research UK on the day.

If you are wanting any parts from Kit Spares, please feel free to call us before hand to place your order so we can get it ready for collection for you on the day to avoid any delays.  Let us know that you are coming, so we know how many cakes to make! We have set up an event page on our GBS Facebook page so keep checking for updates and you can invite your friends & family to join us too! Above are some photographs from our last GBS Cars & Coffee event, the GBS Cameras will be out again capturing all the action!

We look forward to seeing you all there!
Richard, Keith & all the GBS Team.

GBS Zero Race Car being enjoyed & GBS Workshop is busy…..

It nice to have this Zero back in our workshop for a  few days, its now currently having the ATR Products Brake upgrade kit fitted. The owner Peter Cartwright competes with his 2.5 Duratec powered Zero in Sprints and does several Track Days a year! The new ATR Products Brake upgrade is very popular with many Zero’s now have it fitted.  You can see more details and images on the Brake upgrade options on our parts website Kit Spares www.kitspares.co.uk

GBS Customer Jon Barratt recently sent us some photos from when he raced at Silverstone International a couple of weeks ago in the Mag Sevens series. He said “Unfortunately, didn't finish the first 40 minute race due to a snapped throttle cable but did well in the second 15 minute sprint gaining six places from the start taking me to 2nd in class”. Jon is also hoping to join us next month on our GBS Track Day at Blyton Park on Sunday 23rd June, click here for more details.

Another GBS customer also collected his sports car from us this week which wasn’t a Zero, Chris Morrison collected his Liege Sports trials car that we completed and prepared and presented to IVA. Chris is now awaiting the registration and hopes to join us in at our GBS Cars & Coffee event which is happening on Saturday 8th June.
